...Anywhere. There's just something about the sun on my face that relaxes and rejuvenates me even in the middle of a hum drum work day. It's probably the vitamin D, but it feels... well, I won't say spiritual or magical exactly, but feels darn good.
Maybe it's kind of sad, but the most vivid sensation that washes over me when I think of turning my face up to the sun is that of a break in a workday: on the balcony of a dull data analysis job, sitting on a picnic table behind an insurance company, sitting in a shopping center courtyard across from a formal wear boutique. Somehow the sense memory involves professional clothing and a faraway awareness that I need to get a move on.
Maybe it's because I take the sun for granted at other times, but in the middle of a monotonous work day the sun on my face for a few minutes soothes me. I feel peaceful and optimistic and thankful to be in the moment. Yes, that's the holiness in that detail.
